Pampelonne Beach Villa Rentals | Cyrus Saint-Tropez

Pampelonne — Villa rentals along the most famous beach on the peninsula

Pampelonne is the five-kilometre sweep of sand that made Saint-Tropez famous in the 1950s and 1960s. Brigitte Bardot, Roger Vadim and the rest of the New Wave first set the tone here; today the same dunes are home to L’Épi, Loulou, Nikki Beach, Indie Beach, Verde, Bagatelle and the original Club 55. Behind the beach lies a thin strip of pine forest and vineyards, then the route des Plages and the foothills toward Ramatuelle village.

Cyrus International curates villas across this strip — from beachfront estates with private access to the sand to hillside villas with full bay views. Every villa is within a five-minute drive of at least three of the major beach clubs.

Why Pampelonne

Pampelonne is two beaches in one. The northern half — running from Bouillabaisse to Tahiti — is the part that built the legend: louche, music-led, the natural habitat of Club 55, Tahiti Beach, Indie Beach, and the village of Ramatuelle’s official lifeguard tower. The southern half — Bonne Terrasse and Bonne Aventure — is quieter, sandier, with shallower water and almost no nightlife. Families and couples often split their stay: one half-day at L’Épi for lunch and an afternoon nap, then a sunset drive to the southern end for a long walk.

Pampelonne villas mirror this split. The northern stretch — Bouillabaisse, Tahiti, La Moune — has a higher concentration of architect-built modern villas and full beachfront properties; many have private foot-paths through the pine forest to the sand. The southern stretch — Bonne Terrasse, La Bouillabaisse, Salines — leans more traditional Provençal, often on larger plots with mature gardens, vineyards as neighbours, and parking for six or more cars.

What unites them is the proximity to the beach clubs. A typical Pampelonne villa is a five-minute drive (or 15-minute walk through the pines) to lunch at L’Épi, Loulou, or Club 55. The beach club staff know their regulars by villa name, not surname — and reservations made through Cyrus are placed at the better tables.

Frequently asked questions

Are there beachfront villas on Pampelonne?

Yes — a small number of Cyrus villas have direct private access to Pampelonne beach, mostly on the Bonne Terrasse and Tahiti stretches. These villas are limited in number and typically book a full season in advance. Sea-view villas (with the beach a 3-10 minute walk through the pines) are more widely available.

How far is Pampelonne beach from Saint-Tropez village?

Pampelonne is 10 to 15 minutes by car from the Vieux Port of Saint-Tropez, depending on traffic. The southern end (Bonne Terrasse) is closer to Ramatuelle village (8 minutes) than to Saint-Tropez.

Which beach club is best for families on Pampelonne?

L’Épi, Verde and Indie Beach are widely considered the most family-friendly of the Pampelonne clubs — shallow water, kids’ menus, and shaded loungers. Club 55 has the strongest French-family clientele. Cyrus arranges all reservations on request.

Can I walk from a Pampelonne villa to the beach?

Many of our Pampelonne villas are within a 10-15 minute walk to one of the major clubs (Club 55, L’Épi, Nikki Beach) through the pine forest. Beachfront villas have a private path of 30 seconds. Hillside villas are 5 minutes by car.

Is Pampelonne quiet in the evening?

Yes. Pampelonne beach itself closes for the evening (no nightclubs on the sand); the beach clubs serve dinner until around midnight but are spread out over five kilometres of dune. Villa neighbourhoods behind the beach are residential and quiet by 10pm.
